QUOTABLE SEAHAWKS
I'm very happy with the performance today. You know, definitely some pressure because we could have finished anywhere from the number five seed to the number two seed. The biggest thing was we were in, we were in the playoffs, but now we had to play for seeding. So, I've been working with these gentlemen a lot about winning and learning how to win. We talked about this homestand on Toppa and we crossed it off. We've been Framingham, tied Coast Guard, beat Emerson, and then we went away to Wheaton, took care of business there, took a point on the road and then we came here, we got all three and it puts us in the two seed. We've been talking about the definition of winning and just to take by force, but to earn. So, we earned this opportunity to take by force the two seed on our home field. So, we're happy about that. And most importantly, I said to these gentlemen about four or five days in the preseason, because I met them on the first day of preseason. I said, 'I'm here. I'm here to work for you as seniors, you six seniors and try and get you in the playoffs. Forget about going 0-6-2 last year. Let's just get in the playoffs. Let's flip this. So that was my focus, and it was phenomenal to see "Bazi" (Gabriel Bazinkas), one of our goalkeepers, Nolun Pina, and then Danny Bond punching in another goal. Two huge goals down the stretch -- tying goal against Coast Guard punching in the tying goal today. Ethan David picking up scraps. Massive goal. Evan Arpin continues being an anchor, maybe the best defender in the league, and all five of these guys plus our 29 other players, I'm sorry, 28 others -- 33 men -- were playing for Jordan Borges who's still in the hospital. So, huge win. These seniors led us. They led us not only flipping around last year's record, we're in the NEWMAC (postseason) and we're the two seed and we couldn't be happier. It's all about the seniors, it's about doing it for them and the experience and the journey. -- Seahawk head coach Bill Lawler
