SPRINGFIELD, Mass. -- (Tuesday, November 5, 2024)-- In women's women's volleyball NEWMAC action Salve Regina University capitulated 3-0 to Springfield College in the last week of the 2024 regular season.
Springfield had a solid first set, 25-8, but Salve Regina came back for a competitive set two 25-20.
In the middle set Springfield jumped out to a 6-1 lead but five consecutive Salve Regina points initiated by Lucy Swanson's kill and Siena DeCicco's service ace tied the match up. A late six-point run from the pride gave them a 23-18 advantage and all Springfield had to do was secure the final two points.

History: Last year Salve Regina fell to Springfield 3-0 on October 31. Prior to 2023 the last time the two teams met was during the 2007 season in a neutral site match.

The Seahawks play in their last game of the regular season against Emerson College on Saturday, November 9, at 1 p.m. in Boston, Massachusetts. Last year Salve Regina earned their first ever NEWMAC win against Emerson at home on senior day.
