NEWPORT, R.I. (Saturday, November 9, 2024)-- Salve Regina University women's ice hockey defeated Salem State University for the second day in a row with two goals from captain
Riley Esposito on Alumni Day.Â
The Seahawks jumped right to action with a goal from Esposito 1:27 into the first period. Esposito went on to score again to begin period two.
Emily Wroblewski added to the tally with an unassisted power play goal in the third period. Wroblewsk made it to the back of the net just seconds before the Vikings' tripping power play was up to expire. Salem State did manage a goal against the home team with less than five minutes left to play.Â
