NEWPORT, RI. -- (Wednesday, September 11, 2024)-- Three scoreless quarters came to an end for Salve Regina University field hockey Wednesday night when Shannon Kennedy and Georgia Costello's late goals elevated the Seahawks above the Lasers 3-1.
I't was the Lasers' Mara Boldy, from Alice Rourke, who put the first points on the board for Lasell not even five minutes into the contest. It wasn't until the last quarter that Salve Regina changed the momentum of a 1-0 deficit to a 3-1 victory.Â

QUOTING THE SEAHAWKS:
"As a team we knew it was gonna be a hard fought game," said Angelina Regels."I think we knew that we had that edge. We came in a little bit sluggish but got the momentum going as we went. Near the end we got the passing going and had a good flow so we worked it out.
"I was just looking to get the ball in the back of the net. I saw Shannon and I just knew-- just sent it right up to her and let her tap it in. Than's exactly what happened. The team gutted it out and I'm really proud of us for that. Our sideline is always cheering as loud as possible so that really helps."
