CASTINE, Maine - Sophomore midfielder Gabriel Toledo netted three goals, and classmate Reagan Moynihan made a season-high nine saves, to help propel the Maine Maritime Academy men's soccer team to a 3-2 non-conference victory over visiting Salve Regina University on Sunday afternoon at Ritchie Field. The Mariners won their second-straight to improve to 2-3-1 on the season, while the Seahawks slip to 2-5.

- Jordan Borges led the offense with three points on a goal and an assist.
- Daniel Goba also tallied a goal.

How it Happened
- Maine Maritime took a 2-0 halftime lead on Toledo's first two tallies of the day in the 25th and 35th minutes.
- Toledo scored what proved to be the game-winning goal on a shot into the low right corner in the 65th minute, taking a feed from sophomore Dillon Wilkinson.
- Trailing 3-0, the Seahawks made things interesting late on goals by Goba and Borges just 3 minutes and 16 seconds apart, starting in the 86th minute.
- Salve Regina continued to press in the final minute with a save by Moynihan off Goba's shot attempt, three corner kicks and a shot from Borges that missed to the left.
- But the Mariners defense stood tall and was able to clear those dangerous chances to preserve the victory.

- According to available records, this is believed to be the first-ever meeting between the programs.
