Riley Esposito led the Salve Regina University women's ice hockey team to a 3-2 NEHC win against UMass Boston when she received a pass from sophomore
Gina Richard and sunk her sixth goal of the season 37 seconds into overtime.

History: Yesterday women's ice hockey beat UMass Boston 4-1. This was the Seahawks first win against the Beacons since 2015.
NOTEWORTHY
- Emily Wroblewski scored her fourth and fifth goals of the season in the first period. She opened up the game 1:19 into the action and scored ask the clock was ticking down at the 19:01 mark.
- After a scrum for the puck behind the Beacons net it bounced off the side of the cage and Wroblewski accelerated to tap it in past UMB's goalie Leah Bosch to get the Seahawks on the board.
- Goalie Sydney Baxter made 21 saves while Bosch made 32.

Next week the Seahawks are home on January 14, at 8 p.m. when they host fellow Rhode Island institution Johnson & Wales University.
