PINE VALLEY, N.Y. (Friday, January 31, 2025)-- Freshman
Jack Franklin tied the Salve Regina men's ice hockey game against hosting Elmira College 2-2 with seven minutes in regulation but the Soaring Eagles elevated to 3-2 at the 2:10 mark in overtime.

History: The last time the Seahawks and Soaring Eagles met was on December 30, 2022. Salve Regina came away with a 4-3 win after
Seth Benson, Mitch Walinski and John Mulera all contributed to the scoring.
NOTEWORTHY:
- It took nearly six minutes into the second period for the action to get going however the Seahawks were the first to convert. Matthew Brunton received a pass from teammate Arvega Hovsepyan and his one-timer made it past Emlira's goalie Kyle Curtin.
- Despite an early Seahawk lead the Soaring Eagles struck back when Eric Bertlesen scored from the dot following a long pass from Cam Lowe on the wing.
- Elmira's second goal, which gave them a 2-1 advantage was the result of a power play when the Seahawks were down a skater for boarding. This came at 17 minutes in the second period.
- To knot the game at 2-2 Jack Franklin scored at the corner with 7:02 remaining in regulation.
- Ryan Reifler's goal from right in front of the net made the difference in Elmira taking the game 3-2 at the 2:10 overtime mark.
- After 62:10 Salve Regina outshot Elmira 29-28. The Soaring Eagles led in the face off circle with 36 to the Seahawks 32 wins.
- Selby Warren made 25 saves in net for Salve Regina.
