MIDDLETOWN, R.I. -- (Wednesday, October 15, 2025)--
Georgia Costello '26 scored in two breakaway situations however Salve Regina University field hockey fell 5-3 to Rhode Island foe Roger Williams University in non conference play on a windy night at Gaudet Field.
Following a scoreless first quarter Roger Williams got on the board at the 17:44 mark. Costello fired back with two goals of her own on similar breakaway plays within the span of one minute. The game was tied 2-2 going into halftime and the turning point of the contest came in the third quarter. The Hawks capitalized on a penalty stroke opportunity and followed it up with two goals in 15 minutes to extend their lead 5-3. The final quarter saw no scoring and the Hawks walked away with a non conference success.
