NEW LONDON, Conn. -- Salve Regina University men's soccer and the United States Coast Guard Academy produced their third draw in as many regular-season NEWMAC meetings, today finishing with a 0-0 deadlock after 90 minutes on Nitchman Field.

History: These programs met for the 14th time in men's soccer. Salve Regina owns a 5-3-5 edge in the overall series including 0-0-3 as NEWMAC members. The series began in 2005. In 2023 in New London, Conn., Aki Freeman scored in the 28th minute and
Aaron Muncaster had an unassisted goal in the 80th minute to salvage a draw for the Seahawks. Last year's regular season contest at Toppa Field ended in a 1-1 draw with Jude Sargent and
Danny Bond both heading in goals for their respective teams.
Daniel Goba had two second-half goals (the latter on a penalty kick) in a 2-1 NEWMAC semifinal win at Toppa Field last November.
