MARLBOROUGH, Mass. – The NEWMAC has released its field hockey postseason awards, as announced by the conference on Wednesday morning. The awards are determined by the conference's ten coaches following the conclusion of regular-season play.
Salve Regina seniors
Julia Decker (Newton, N.J.) and
Georgia Costello (North Easton, MA) landed on the First Team All-Conference and senior
Bella Gannon (West Yarmouth, Mass.) was named to the Second Team All-Conference.
"I'm incredibly proud of Bella, Georgia, and Julia for earning All-NEWMAC honors," said head field hockey coach
Jennifer Foster. "They've been difference-makers on the field all season—setting the tone with their skill, consistency, and competitiveness. This recognition is a well-deserved honor to finish their Salve careers."
Decker was named to the First Team All-Conference in 2024 and the Second Team All-Conference in 2023. She was the Seahawks' leading scorer this season with 19 goals and six assists for 44 total points. Costello was the team's second highest scorer with 15 goals and nine assists for 39 points. She was also named to the 2024 NEWMAC Second Team All-Conference. Gannon picks up her first NEWMAC All-Conference recognition as the Seahawks primary athlete to inject penalty corners.
