NEWPORT, R.I.-- The Salve Regina University field hockey team will return to Gaudet Field for the 2026 fall season beginning on September, 1. 

Captains Jordyn Pineau '27, Natalie Vaughan '27 and Grace Warnick '27 together with head coach Jennifer Foster will jump to action this fall with opening day at home on September 1, against Russell Sage College at 4 p.m.

Salve Regina returns from an 11-8 overall and 4-5 NEWMAC record in 2025. Last season the Seahawks advanced to the first round of the NEWMAC championship, where they fell in a tight 2-1 game to Springfield College.

Following five non-conference games the Seahawks will open NEWMAC competition against Springfield on the road Saturday, September 19, at 4 p.m. The first NEWMAC home game of the year takes place on Saturday, October 3, when the Seahawks host the Wellesley Blue at Gaudet Field at noon.

The 2026 regular season concludes on Saturday, October 31, when Salve Regina hosts Mount Holyoke College at noon. The Seahawks will once again look to advance to the NEWMAC postseason. 

"We are excited to recognize Grace, Jordyn, and Natalie as our 2026 team captains," said Foster. "Each has earned the trust and respect of both their teammates and coaches through their leadership, character, and commitment to our program. Natalie returns after serving as a captain during her junior season, bringing valuable experience and consistency to our leadership group. Alongside her, Grace and Jordyn have demonstrated the work ethic, integrity, and dedication that embody the values of our program. We are confident this group will lead by example, support their teammates, and help guide our team throughout the 2026 season."
