MIDDLETOWN, R.I.-- Salve Regina University men's ice hockey won the Seahawks' seventh consecutive contest to remain undefeated in the 2025-26 season when four seniors scored to secure a 4-3 overtime victory over DII Assumption University at on Senior Day.
Cade DeStefani sank the game-winning goal at 3:29 in overtime from the slot after receiving a pass from teammate
Grant Hineman on the wing.Â
The Seahawks established a 2-0 lead after one period of action when
Walter Baumann and
Logan Calder opened up the scoring. Assumption pulled even after Greyhounds' Leo Piandes netted two goals in the second period. The game was once again tied, this time 3-3, when
Jonathan Hammel converted and Piandes found the back of the net once more for a hat trick.Â
