SALEM, Mass. (Friday, November 7, 2025)-- The Salve Regina University women's ice hockey team picked up their first win of the season in a 3-1 affair against Salem State University.
Freshman
Arielle Sushinski scored her first collegiate goal with five seconds to go in the second period. She was bookended by goals from
Reese Pereira and
Riley Esposito before Salem State got on the board midway through the third period.

History: Salve Regina and Salem state both competed in the New England Hockey Conference in the 2024-25 season. The Seahawks are 3-1-1 all-time against the Vikings. Last year Salve Regina won both meetings with Salem State at home 3-1 and 4-0 respectively.
NOTEWORTHY
- Salve Regina outshot Salem State 36-12 with the game high of 15 shots in the second period.
- All of the goals scored across both teams occurred on the power play.
