GORHAM, Maine.-- Salve Regina University men's ice hockey achieved their 11th win of the season in a 4-0 shutout of the hosting University of Southern Maine Huskies Friday night.
Cody Plaza gave Salve Regina a 1-0 lead with 5:49 left in the first period thanks to assists from
Thomas Gerum and
Aidan Elkins. Today's goal marks Plaza's second career goal.
Jack Arizo capitalized on the power play with 21 seconds to go in the second period to extend the Seahawks lead to 2-0. Salve Regina added two empty-net goals for the 4-0 final.
Grant Hineman recorded the first, while the second came from
Brendan Abban after a change of possession while the Huskies were attempting to bring on an extra skater.
