NEWPORT, R.I. -- Senior captain
Joe Logue (Acton, Mass.) of the Salve Regina University men's soccer team earned United Soccer Coaches Region II honors when the organization announced the first of its postseason awards on Tuesday afternoon.
Logue had been named the New England Women's and Men's Athletic Conference (NEWMAC)
Defensive Player of the Week following a pair of shutouts by the Seahawks (Oct. 22 at Coast Guard; Oct. 25 vs. MIT). Postseason recognition includes a spot on the
College Sports Communicators Academic All-District® squad.
The fourth-year back played and started all 16 games for Salve Regina (6-4-6, 2-4-3 NEWMAC) and shared the team-lead for the Seahawks in goals scored (3).
