Babson had gone 0-for-27 for 3-pointers in their previous visit to the Rodgers Recreation Center

NEWPORT, R.I. -- Salve Regina University men's basketball fell 88-69 to visiting Babson College in NEWMAC action at the Rodgers Recreation Center on Saturday afternoon in Newport, Rhode Island.

Felix Kloman led all players with 26 points while Nate Amado contributed a double-double (20 points, 10 rebounds) for the Beavers (15-8, 9-6 NEWMAC). The Seahawks (9-14, 6-8 NEWMAC) were led by Brad Fowler who made 6-of-8 field goals and added three free throws for 15 points.

History: These programs meet for the 18th time in men's basketball and fourth time as fellow NEWMAC members. Salve Regina won the very first league meeting between the two schools, 68-38, on the Rodgers Recreation Center hardwood as the Beavers went 0-for-27 from 3-point range. James Jolly and Declan Walmsley combined for 30 points in the win. Walmsley, Jojo Powers, and Will Parisi each made a trey for the Seahawks. Alex Stoddard led all players with 23 points in Babson's 84-66 win last month in Wellesley. Salve Regina has outscored the Babson, 281-239, in the last four meetings in Newport (1986 through 2024).

  • 1H | Felix Kloman opened the scoring with a 3-pointer as the Beavers started on a 7-0 run. Sean Seymour's 3-pointer just under the 15-minute mark cut the Seahawk deficit to three (12-9) before another 7-0 run for the Beavers featuring a trey for Kloman. After Timmy O'Toole's driving layup at 8:45 made the score 77-50 in favor of the visitors, Salve Regina outscored Babson, 19-11, the remainder of the game.
