- Brunton had a two-goal evening with the team's second and last points of the encounter. Knotting the game at two, Brunton scored from the slot with assists from Hoon Kim and Brendan Kim.

THOUGHTS FROM COACH KLANN
"We want to go in to the payoffs playing our best hockey. All the tight games that we've played throughout this year is something that we've learned a lot from and we showed that tonight by hanging on and getting the job done. Killing that penalty late in the third period-- for the guys to buy in and get that part done is huge for us. It's a big step for us. You go back a couple months and maybe that game gets tied up and we go into overtime. We are building confidence and we have next week off to get rested and get prepared. Hopefully we take care of business tomorrow and we'll be looking at some home ice in the playoffs."
