Yaworski's two-run blast provides early cushion

WASHINGTON D.C. - #2/#3 Salve Regina University baseball triumphed over Ithaca College in game three of the Matt Kurkjian ALS Awareness Invitational as the Seahawks finished with a 14-7 decision in the neutral matchup on Sunday afternoon at Nationals Youth Baseball Academy in Washington D.C.

Salve Regina (2-0, 0-0 NEWMAC) wins both its games in the Matt Kurkjian ALS Awareness Invitational by a combined score of 25-9.

All-Time Series: Today was the first-ever meeting between the two schools in baseball. Ithaca and Salve Regina had last met on the softball diamond in 2018 in Kissimmee, Florida. The Bombers and Seahawks have met in men's soccer match ups three times and once each in men's basketball and men's lacrosse. Today was the first time Salve Regina has won against Ithaca in seven meetings across five sports.
