WORCESTER, Mass. (Saturday, March 22, 2025)-- Salve Regina University secured another NEWMAC win on the road against Clark University in a decisive 13-7 win on Saturday.
Liam Cooney scored in the first 40 seconds of the game but the Cougars stayed competitive until a breakaway third quarter for Salve Regina. With the score knotted at 4-4, Casey Johnson's snipe at the tail end of the first half led the way for a five-goal Seahawk run in which Mason Barbone, Aidan McIntyre, Liam Cooney and Daniel Naglieri all tallied goals.
Danial Naglieri (4) and Heath Sumwalt (3) combined for seven of the 13 Seahawk goals.
Against Clark Liam Cooney '25 GR (64) broke the Salve men's lacrosse career games started record of 63, held by Mike Mongelli 2016-2019.

History: Since 2013 Salve Regina has gone 8-3 in the win-loss category against Clark. Last year, the Seahawks first year competing in the NEWMAC, the Seahawks won 19-5 at Gaudet Field.

- Seahawk sophomore goalie Andrew Hazard made ten saves in net. Casey McCullough of Clark made 12 saves.
- Face off specialists Adam Laber and Nate Strassberger combined for 13-22 at center field.
- Salve Regina nabbed 32 ground balls. Jack Naglieri had a game high seven ground balls. He also caused four turnovers.
- Danial Naglieri sits in second in the Seahwks' goal scored category this season with 20. Chris Koltzan leads with 31. Naglieri is Salve Regina's top contributor in the points category with 20 goals and 31 assists for 51 points.
