SPRINGFIELD, Mass. (Saturday, March 22, 2025)-- Kayli Garcia, Adelaide Baird and Cameron Baston all contributed to the Salve Regina women's lacrosse scoring efforts but Springfield overtook the visiting Seahawks 19-3 in NEWMAC action on Saturday.

Records: Salve Regina (2-5, 1-1 NEWMAC), Springfield (6-1, 2-0 NEWMAC)
History: Last year when the teams first met as members of the same conference Springfield won 26-4 during the regular season and when Salve Regina advanced to the postseason NEWMAC tournament the Pride defeated the Seahawks 14-3 in the first round.
NOTEWORTHY
- Springfield started the contest off strong with a goal just one minute into the game and carried the momentum throughout the first quarter.
- Kayli Garcia put a stop to Springfield's scoring run with 7:18 to go in the second quarter with an unassisted goal. This got the Seahawks on the board with an 11-1 score.
- In the final quarter Adelaide Baird (from Daniella Bruno) and Cameron Baston scored consecutively within five minutes of each other.
- The Pride outshot the Seahawks 23-7.
- The Seahawks picked up 12 ground balls over the course of the game.
- Freshman goalie Flynn Kayajan made seven saves.
- Salve Regina went 0-4 on free-position shots while Springfield was 3-3 in total.
