Donovan bats in three with fourth inning homer

AUBURNDALE, Fla.- Junior catcher Shea Donovan went yard in the fourth inning to bring home three runs and extend Salve Regina University baseball's win streak to 7-0 when the team shutout Webster University 4-0 in game two of the team's Florida training trip.

Salve Regina established an early 1-0 lead after the first inning. Two Gorlok errors started the inning and Evan O'Rourke's double brought home Tyler Petrosino, after he advanced to third on an error. 

Senior pitcher Brayden Clark achieved his third win of the season after pitching for seven innings and delivering nine strikeouts. Clark recorded his first win of the season in the Seahawks 14-7 triumph over Ithaca College on February 23. He pitched for five innings. On March 1, when the team overcame the University of Southern Maine 5-1 in game one of a doubleheader Clark saw his second season win 13 strikeouts.

All-Time Series: This is the second all-time meeting between the Seahawks and Gorloks in program history. In 2019 when the programs met for the first time Webster led 3-1 after four innings and distanced themselves 9-2 with four runs in the fifth inning. Salve Regina's scoring came when Tristan Dacey doubled to right center and Zack Smith rounded the bases for home in the fourth inning. Again in the seventh inning, Jack Betts singled to left center which brought Hunter Parker Home.
