Seahawks drop 12-4 to Pioneers, host NOSOLO game

MIDDLETOWN, R.I. (Wednesday, April 2, 2025)-- Samantha Moleti and Cameron Baston initiated a two-goal comeback to start the second quarter but Salve Regina University fell 12-4 to the Smith College Pioneers after the visitor managed a six-goal final period.

The Pioneers got on the board early with four goals to start the game but Moleti and Baston halted the run to come back 4-2 four minutes into quarter two. Nora Cooney and Daniella Bruno add in across the second and third quarters, Bruno with a free position goal, but Smith remained in the lead.

Today's game was dedicated to raise awareness for mental health as the women's lacrosse team partnered with NOSOLO. The NOSOLO brand was created because mental illness does not discriminate. Salve Regina embraces the message that Nobody goes solo. NOSOLO and the Seahawks ask that you do your part to spread the word so those who are struggling realize that we are here for them, and they are not alone. For more information on NOSOLO and how to donate please visit shop.nosolobrand.com.
