Game Recap: Women's Lacrosse |

Seahawks surpassed by Lyons, 15-2

NORTON, Mass. (Wednesday, April 9, 2025)-- Daniella Bruno and Edie Threshie advanced Salve Regina University women's lacrosse with the team's two goals but Wheaton College posted a strong offensive evening to beat the Seahawks 15-2 in NEWMAC regular season play on Wednesday.

The Lyons saw the first five goals of the evening to set themselves up with a 5-0 lead going into the second quarter. It was Bruno who got the Seahawks on the board just over a minute into the second quarter to disrupt the host's momentum. Bruno circled around from behind the net after receiving a pass from Alix Madden and dodged Wheaton defenders to score.

Wheaton forged ahead with the next seven goals to make it a 12-1 game by the end of the first half. Salve Regina came out of the intermission with a countermove to interrupt the Lyons effort. After a Wheaton turnover the Seahawks worked their way passing around the key to Threshie who scored with a laser from the top of the slot. Seahawk goal number two brought the game to a ten-goal differential, 12-2. However the Lyons found the back of the net three more times to establish the final 15-2 verdict.
