WESTON, Mass -- (Wednesday, September 17, 2025)-- In non conference play Salve Regina University was overpowered by the hosting Regis College Pride 3-0 at Higgins Court on Wednesday.
Salve Regina was the first to get on the board in set one with a block made by Lydia Daskalos and Lauren Hoyle. Regis jumped out to a 17-10 lead but a six point run, made possible by a series of kills from Hoyle, Daskalos and Kalena Stavish, made it a one point game. Regis counterattacked at the net and stayed ahead to finish set one 25-23 in favor of the host.
The Seahawks once again recorded the first points in set two starting off with Emma Cate's service ace but several longer runs by the Pride later in the match gave them a 2-0 advantage going into set three. In the final frame it was a 19-15 affair but Regis claimed six points in a row to win the set.

History: In 2024, on October 8, when the Seahawks and Pride last met Salve fell after five demanding sets of action (22-25, 25-16, 24-26, 26-14,13-15). All-time the Seahawks are 7-4 against the Pride.
NOTEWORTHY:
- Lauren Hoyle had a standout performance with 12 kills and two blocks. Hoyle now totals 57 kills this season.
- Kalena Stavish provided 16 assists as the Seahawks leader in that category.
- Lily Dobbins had the team game high two aces and Madelyn Homer led with eight digs.
