Seahawks best Sharks 6-1, Lund nets two

BRIGHTON, Mass. -- (Saturday, September 6, 2025)-- Five different Seahawks scored and first year Elliot Lund secured two goals in Salve Regina University field hockey's 6-1 victory over the hosting Simmons University Sharks in non conference play on Saturday.

The Seahawks got right to work in the first quarter when Georgia Costello scored with an assist from Molly Kearney. The Sharks held Salve to 1-0 going into the second quarter but the visiting Seahawks stayed persistent with two goals before the end of the first half, thanks to Julia Decker and Sage Mauro. Decker has scored in all three of Salve Regina's contests this season. Lund went on to score twice and Molly Kearney added to the tally before the Sharks squeezed in a goal of their own with less than three minutes to go in the game.
