MIDDLETOWN, R.I. -- In a hard-fought game at Howard Rink, the Salve Regina University women's ice hockey team battled through a relentless Plymouth State University attack but ultimately fell 3-0 on Monday night.
Salve Regina controlled possession early, generating multiple quality scoring chances and applying pressure in the offensive zone. The Seahawks carried momentum into penalty-kill and power-play situations, forcing Plymouth State to defend against a disciplined and structured Salve attack.
