TAMPA, Fla. -- Salve Regina University men's ice hockey goalie
Selby Warren made an impressive 33 stops in the Seahawks 4-3 loss to No.9 SUNY Genneseo at the AdventHealth Center on Friday evening.
After a scoreless first period the Knights established a 2-0 lead in the later half of the second period. Salve Regina came back with force when
Karsten Kruska got the Seahawks on the board one minute into the third period.
Cody Plaza made it a tied game with his third goal in two days, after scoring twice in the Seahawks 5-2 win over Tufts yesterday, to tie it up 2-2.
Grant Hineman put the Seahawks in the lead with a shot from the right point thanks to assists from
Parker Mabbett and
Karsten Kruska.
In the final ten minutes of the game the Knights were able find the back of the net with several one timers, making it a 4-3 verdict in favor of Geneseo.

History: Salve Regina has a 3-0 all-time record against Geneseo. March 12, 2015 was the most recent meeting between the Seahawks and Knights and Geneseo came away with a 7-1 win.
