MIDDLETOWN, R.I. -- The Salve Regina University women's ice hockey team was shutout 2-0 to the Western New England Univeristy at Howard Rink on Saturday after three high-effort periods.
The Seahawks held a defensive battle through the first period, with neither team finding the back of the net through one. Salve Regina's penalty kill was tested early, but the defense and goaltending stood firm.
