Dumond, Esposito score, Seahawls fall 6-2 to Golden Flyers

ROCHESTER, N.Y. -- The Salve Regina University women's ice hockey team was tied 1-1 early in the first period against Nazareth University however the Golden Flyers went on a run in the second and third periods to pull ahead 6-2.

The host was able to score four minutes into the contest but Salve Regina struck back with eight minutes gone from the score board, thanks to Grace Dumond, making it a 1-1 game. Towards the end of the opening period, the Golden Flyers found themselves on a 5 on 3 power play where they would capitalize to take a 2-1 lead. This advantage triggered a scoring run for Nazareth which was eventually broken by Riley Esposito, who scored with three minutes to go in regulation.

Nazareth would score once more before the clock expired to make it a 6-2 final in favor of the Golden Flyers.
