NEWPORT, R.I. (October 15, 2026) -- Salve Regina University head softball coach Tori Constantin (pronounced Con-stan-teen) has announced that Alex Duffy will be joining her staff as an assistant coach.

Duffy joins the Seahawk softball coaching staff after serving as a Softball Graduate Assistant and Director of Player Development at Boston College. With the Eagles, Duffy has worked across hitting, defense, and player development, utilizing performance analytics, video analysis, and advanced scouting to support athlete development and team preparation.

"I'm excited to welcome Alex to our coaching staff here at Salve Regina," said Constantin. "Having had the opportunity to work alongside Alex at Boston College, I've seen firsthand his work ethic, attention to detail, and passion for player development. His knowledge of the game, analytical approach, and commitment to helping student-athletes reach their potential will be a tremendous asset to our program. I'm excited to work with him again and look forward to what we'll be able to accomplish together as we continue building Salve Regina Softball."

Prior to Boston College, Duffy earned his Bachelor of Science in Sport and Movement Science with a concentration in Sport Management from Salem State University in 2025, where he was a member of the NCAA Division III baseball program. He is currently pursuing his Master of Science in Sports Administration at Boston College.

Duffy also brings coaching experience from Swampscott High School, where he served as the head freshman baseball coach, overseeing player development, practice planning, and team operations. His additional experience includes working in baseball operations with the North Shore Navigators of the New England Collegiate Baseball League.

"Alex is passionate about player development, data-driven coaching, and helping student-athletes reach their full potential both on and off the field."

Salve Regina softball competes in the New England Women's and Men's Athletic Conference (NEWMAC) and the Seahawks play their home games at Toppa Field.
