THROGGS NECK, N.Y.-- Senior Daniel Naglieri sank six goals as the Salve Regina University men's lacrosse team's leading scorer Saturday in the Seahawks away 14-6 victory over SUNY Maritime.
Salve Regina jumped out to a fast start, scoring three first-quarter goals and setting the tone early. The Seahawks continued their momentum in the second quarter, outscoring Maritime 9-3 before halftime. Salve Regina's attack was well-spread, with contributions from Heath Sumwalt, Chris Koltzan, Vincent DiRenno, Nicholas Bailey, and others combining to keep Maritime trailing.
In the fourth quarter, Salve Regina capped the victory with two more goals, highlighted by tally from Charlie Townsend, sealing the decisive win.
