Game Recap: Women's Lacrosse |

Seahawks yield 12-5 to Chargers

NEW LONDON, N.H. -- Sophomore attacker Madison Maire put up a pair of goals however the Salve Regina University women's lacrosse team fell 12-5 to the hosting Chargers in the second game of the 2026 season.

But Colby-Sawyer started it off with a burst of offense, broken by Maire's goal in the first quarter. 

Despite trailing 5-1 after one period, the Seahawks refused to quit. Salve Regina chipped away in the third and fourth quarters with key tallies from Delia Tarasco, Adelaide Baird, and another goal from Maire, who finished with a multi-goal performance on the afternoon. Daniella Bruno added another late score as the Seahawks showed grit to close out the game strong.

ON THE HORIZON
Salve women's lacrosse will be back at Gaudet Field for a doubleheader with men's lacrosse on Tuesday, March 3. The men's team starts it off at 4:30 p.m. hosting UMass Boston. At 7 p.m. the women's team hosts UMass Dartmouth.
