CAMBRIDGE, Mass-- Salve Regina University men's lacrosse established an early 2-0 lead thanks to goals from Daniel Naglieri and Christopher Bethoney, however the hosting MIT Engineers claimed an eventual 12-9 NEWMAC win with a scoring run in the second and third periods.
The game was tied 4-4 going into the second period after Heath Sumwalt combined with another success from Naglieri. The hosting Engineers went on a 5-0 scoring run between the end of the second and the start of the third quarter, which put them in the lead 9-5. Although Naglieri, Sumwalt, Chris Koltzan and Casey Johnson all added tallies late in the game, the Engineers established lead remained firm.
