WELLESLEY, Mass.-- Salve Regina University women's lacrosse found late scoring runs in the third and fourth quarters but eventually fell 15-10 to the No.18 Babson College Beavers at MacDowell Field on Wednesday.
The Beavers found an early 7-0 lead but before the first quarter ended Alix Madden broke the host's momentum with a goal at the 13 second mark.Â
Madden combined with Nora Cooney, Daniella Bruno and Lois Manning in the third frame. Avery Nistl and Madison Maire added to the tally in the final quarter to close the gap between the Beavers and Seahawks. Early success by the host kept the Beavers in the lead as the clock expired.Â
