4th-ranked Seahawks earn seventh-straight NCAA bid

Fourth at-large bid in last five seasons

INDIANAPOLIS (May 11, 2026) -- Nationally fourth-ranked Salve Regina University learned its destination in the 2026 NCAA Division III Baseball Championships during the Monday afternoon selection show on NCAA.com - the Seahawks are the top seed in the DeSales Regional (May 15-17) hosted by second-seeded DeSales University at Weiland Park in Center Valley, Pennsylvania. The host Bulldogs (33-12) will face the third-seeded Roadrunners of Ramapo College (29-12) on Friday afternoon (2:30 p.m.) after Salve Regina (36-6) matches up with the Saints of Marymount University (27-17) with an 11 a.m. first pitch.

Salve Regina makes its seventh consecutive appearance in the NCAA postseason and earned its fourth at-large bid in the last five seasons (one of 23 such selections this year; 41 conference automatic qualifiers). It's the 11th overall appearance for the Seahawks who met the Saints for the first time in 2025 during the RussMatt Invitational in Auburndale, Florida, winning, 7-3. Marymount claimed its second-straight Atlantic East Conference (AEC) title after knocking off top-seed Centenary, 15-9, in the final yesterday at Our Diamond of Dreams at Hackettstown, New Jersey.

DeSales took two from 2024 national champion Misericordia University before Mother's Day to capture the automatic qualifier for the Middle Atlantic Conference Freedom while Ramapo found its way in through an at-large invitation.

Winners of the 16 regional tournaments will qualify for eight, best-of-three series at the super regionals, Friday-Saturday, May 22-23. The eight super regional winners will then qualify for the pool play double-elimination championship at Classic Auto Group Park in Eastlake, Ohio, Friday-Thursday, May 29-June 4, 2026.
