In the nightcap, the two teams battled back and forth through the first three innings before Salve Regina got on the board in the bottom of the fourth when sophomore Nicholas Barrese (Seaside Park, N.J.) scored on an RBI single by sophomore Anthony Conte (Georgetown, Mass.) for the 1-0 advantage. A two-run single by sophomore Daniel Donohue (Westbury, N.Y.) then gave the Seahawks the 3-0 lead. Donohue then scored on a double to left by Capone to make the score 4-0. The Seahawks would then hold on for the 4-0 victory. Colby went 2-for-3 in the win for Salve Regina while junior Nicholas Gaj (Pawtucket, R.I.) notched the complete-game victory for the Seahawks, throwing seven scoreless innings on four hits with two strikeouts.
