NEWPORT, R.I. (April 6, 2019) -- Salve Regina University senior outfielder Zack Smith (New Canaan, Conn.) is on fire! Today he hit three homeruns in Game One versus Western New England University including a game-tying solo shot leading off the bottom of the ninth to make the score 9-9, before the Seahawks later walked off on a bases-loaded single by Anthony Cieszko (Woodcliff Lake, N.J.) for the Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) victory. In the nightcap, the Golden Bears jumped out to a 3-0 lead but Smith's seventh homer since last Sunday tied the score at 3-3 in the bottom of the third. Western New England (14-7, 6-1 CCC) split with Salve Regina (14-8, 5-2 CCC) by an 8-5 final in Game Two.
