NEWPORT, R.I. – Led by six goals from graduate student attackman Pat Leary (Wakefield, Mass.) the Salve Regina University men's lacrosse team earned an 11-7 victory over the United States Merchant Marine Academy in non-conference action Sunday afternoon.

- Merchant Marine junior Samuel Stephenson (Boca Raton, Fla.) made 11 saves in the loss to fall to 2-2 between the pipes.
Turning Point
Salve Regina scored the first five goals of the second quarter to establish four-goal lead. The Mariners, after scoring four goals in the first quarter, only scored three the rest of the way and were shutout in the fourth quarter, never being able to get closer than within three goals at any point.
