Summary
NEWPORT, R.I. - After falling behind by one to start the fourth quarter the Salve Regina University men's lacrosse team scored seven unanswered goals to come back and defeat visiting Massachusetts Maritime Academy 16-10 in non-conference action at Toppa Field.

  1. Salve Regina junior Stephen McAllister (Floral Park, N.Y.) scored a career-high six goals, four in the fourth quarter, to lead the Seahawks scoring.
  2. Salve Regina sophomore Liam Cooney (Portsmouth, R.I.) scored a career-high five goals.
  3. Mass. Maritime sophomore Nick Lamattina (Groveland, Mass.) scored four times to lead the Buccaneers attack.

Turning Point
Mitchell Maida (Burlington, Mass.) scored to open the fourth quarter and give the Buccaneers a 10-9 lead. However, Brendan Laundry (Swampscott, Mass.) would score at 11:26 of the fourth to tie it, then the Seahawks would score six goals in just under four minutes to blow open the game at the end.
