- The Seahawks got a run back in the sixth on a double to center by Emily Lane but first-year Becca O'Connor (San Antonio, Texas) got out of the inning to keep MIT in the lead.

- Back-to-back singles to lead off the top of the seventh got Salve Regina in position to tie the game, however, O'Connor retired the next three batters to secure the win.

Bivin singled home two more runs in the inning to give MIT a 5-0 advantage.

- The Seahawks put up a run on a Maddie Capetta double to right but the Engineers responded with three in the bottom of the frame as three-straight doubles from Relihan, Pendowski, and junior Abby Shull (Cypress, Texas) made it an 8-1 MIT lead.

- Two more runs in the fifth on a Bell single sealed the 10-1 win for MIT.
