Box Score BEVERLY, Mass. — The Endicott College Gulls chased the entire ball game and still managed a victory with a walk-off home run in the tenth to stun the Seahawks and send them to the loser's bracket.
Salve Regina managed two three-run leads throughout the semifinal match with the Gulls and could not slam the door on one-seeded Endicott College. Starting strong in the first, the Seahawks put up three runs to gain an early advantage. RBIs from Christian Homa and Mike Breen made it 3-0 Salve.
Later on, the Seahawks led 4-2 in the fourth before two home runs from the Gulls to tie the game. In the fifth, Matt D'Amato drove in a run to give Salve a narrow 5-4 lead. Next, Tyler Cannoe got a hold of one to deep left center, a no-doubt bomb to extend Salve's lead to three in the seventh. A three-run home run in the bottom of the seventh from the Gulls would tie the game right back up.
In the tenth, the Gulls walked it off to shock Salve, who held big leads at two different points in the game. Salve gets knocked to the loser's bracket to play Roger Williams later on today.
