Box Score BEVERLY, Mass. — The Seahawks met Roger Williams once again in the semifinals of the CCC Tournament and defeated the Hawks 12-6 to advance to the conference championship versus Endicott College.
The Seahawks fell behind early but surged right back against the Hawks they defeated 24-1 just a few days before. The offense was led by Wil McCarthy (Pembroke, Mass.) who plated three runs including a two-run shot that came in the seventh inning. Christian Homa (Fairfield, Conn.) forced his way onto the score sheet yet again, going 3-for-5 with three RBIs. The Seahawks lineup has not slowed down despite its recent loss to Endicott College in the tournament that came on a walk off home run in the tenth. Having lost just once in their last 27 games now, it's nothing but a thing in the past.
Graham Jeffries (Chelmsford, Mass.) came out to pitch for the first time this tournament, going five innings and allowing three runs on five hits while fanning five. Jeffries notched his eighth win this season to clinch Salve a spot in the championship game against the Gulls.
First pitch will come at 12:00 P.M. at North Field in Beverly, Mass. If the Seahawks win, they force a winner-take-all game that will take place immediately following game one.
