No 13/18 Salve Regina selected as the one seed in NCAA Regional

The Seahawks were one of 19 teams to earn an at-large bid into this year's championship and one of 17 to earn their berth via "Pool C." The Seahawks come into this year's national tournament with a 37-8-1 overall (13-2-1 CCC) record.

Joining the Seahawks in the Misericordia Regional will be their first-round opponent Keystone (30-12 overall, 17-1 CSAC), the AQ winner from the Colonial States Athletic Conference (CSAC), plus the host No. 26 Misericordia (33-12, 18-6 MAC Freedom) and Washington & Jefferson (31-12 overall, 17-3 PAC). Misericordia was a Pool C selection after falling in the MAC Freedom Tournament, while Washington & Jefferson was the President's Athletic Conference (PAC) automatic qualifier.

Both Regionals that CCC teams are competing in are four-team regional sites of which there are 14. There are also two two-team regionals. The four-team regionals will use a double-elimination formation and the two-team Regionals will play a best-of-five series.

The winners of the 16 regional tournaments will qualify for eight, best-of-three series at the Super Regionals, Friday-Saturday, May 26-27. The eight super regional winners will then qualify for the pool play double-elimination championship at Perfect Game Field at Veterans Memorial Stadium in Cedar Rapid, Iowa, Friday-Thursday, June 2-8, 2023
