(Wednesday, March 20, 2024) - The #6/8 Salve Regina University baseball team established a program record for runs scored with a 27-2 win against Mitchell College on Wednesday afternoon in non-league action at Reynolds Field. The Seahawks (12-1, 0-0 NEWMAC) won their 11th straight on the season and stay unbeaten at home since a 2022 conference playoff game (24-0 overall since then and 21-0 at Reynolds Field; home streak includes three-game sweep hosting Southern Maine at Bill Beck Field in Kingston, Rhode Island, earlier this month).
Right-handed senior pitcher Brayden Clark (Beverly, Mass.) started and went the first three innings in front of six other relievers who received the most run support in any Seahawk outing in history.
Matthew Neal's (Ashland, Mass.) three-run homer in the 8th made the score 27-2 and broke the previous mark set against Emerson College on March 10, 2010, in Winter Haven, Florida (a 26-10 Seahawk win).
