MARLBOROUGH, Mass. - The NEWMAC has announced its Athlete of the Week honorees for the week ending December 7, 2025, and Salve Regina University senior forward Jack Margoupis has been selected as the Offensive Player of the Week for men's basketball.

Junior Jack Margoupis (Sutton, Mass.) led the Seahawks in scoring in both games of a 2-0 week, including a season-high 32 in Salve Regina's 68-54 NEWMAC victory at MIT. He averaged a double-double for the week, with 29.5 points per game and 11.0 rebounds per game, while shooting nearly 50 percent from the floor (18-for-37) and 82 percent from the line (14-for-17). He added four assists, three steals, and two blocked shots on the week.

Seahawk head coach Sean Foster '97 on Margoupis: "Jack's recognition as NEWMAC Offensive Athlete of the Week is a direct result of the consistency, preparation and competitive edge he brings to our program daily. He's embraced his role, elevated his teammates, and delivered when we needed him most. Jack is playing with tremendous confidence so far this season and our staff and players look forward to his continued growth in our system."
