Seahawks face bad weather at NEWMAC Championships day two

SOUTH HADLEY, Mass. (Saturday, April 26,2025)—Salve Regina University women's track and field battled with wind and rain to compete at day two of the NEWMAC Championships hosted by Mount Holyoke College.

Sophomore Isabella Hastings was the top Seahawk finisher in the women's 5000m with a time of 18:25.45. Hastings crossed the line in 26th place.

Sophomore Olivia Tacconi placed seventh in the women's 100m after qualifying for the finals on Friday. Tacconi ran a time of 12.61.

Kelsey Chiasson threw 10.22m in the women's shot put garnering her a seventh place finish.
