SOUTH HADLEY, Mass. – Three hundred and fifty-four student-athletes have been selected to the 2025 New England Intercollegiate Lacrosse Association (NEILA) All-Academic Teams, announced by the organization on Friday afternoon.
Members of the teams are nominated by head coaches in Divisions I, II and II, and are student-athletes who have excelled both in the classroom and on the field over the course of their men's lacrosse career.
Harvard University led all institutions with 17 student-athletes who qualified for the honor.
Overall, 59 different colleges and universities were represented across all three divisions.
Thirteen schools from Division I made up the 87 All-Academic award winners, while 41 honorees represented seven different schools in Division II, where Bentley University led the way with thirteen student-athletes.
Endicott led Division III, followed by defending national champions Tufts University and Salve Regina University with 14 student-athletes apiece honored. In total, 226 Division III players representing 39 different institutions made an appearance on this year's squads.
Nominees must have a senior or graduate student standing with no eligibility remaining or plans to use their eligibility in New England, a cumulative grade point average of 3.0 or better on a 4.0 scale, and be an impact player for their team.
"We are extremely proud of all 14 student-athlete graduates," said head men's lacrosse coach Patrick Cooney. "They have all greatly impacted Salve Regina and Salve Athletics while helping the men's lacrosse team achieve new heights on and most importantly off the field in the greater community. They are scholars and gentlemen, truly Salve Regina men."
