NEWPORT, R.I. (Tuesday, July 29, 2025) -- Salve Regina University women's soccer has released the 2025 schedule beginning with the season opener on Saturday, August 30, at Roger Williams University at noon.

The 18-game slate features seven home games on the natural grass of Reynolds Field, including six against a NEWMAC foe, while two non-conference matchups will be hosted at Toppa Field. The Seahawks finished 2024, the team's second NEWMAC season, 2-13-4 overall and 1-6-4 in conference. The Seahawks went 2-4-3 last season on their natural grass home site.

"As I was approaching the schedule for this season, I wanted a bigger challenge for our team than in years past," says fourth-year head coach Tanya Roberts. "We added a couple NESCAC, CNE schools that I felt would help prepare us for conference play."

Roberts added: "We have 22 upperclassmen this season with a lot of experience and drive to compete. Coming off a great spring season of purpose for 2025, I'm confident 'Team 43' will find ways to dig deep, stay positive, have fun and grit out every game."

The Seahawks will follow up the Hawk match up with another in-state rival on the road (Rhode Island College on Wednesday, September 3, in Providence) before hosting Connecticut College in their home opener on Sunday, September 7 (2 p.m.) at Toppa Field. Salve Regina welcomes Gordon College to Reynolds Field on Wednesday, September 10, at 4 p.m.
