MARLBOROUGH, Mass. - The NEWMAC has announced its Athlete of the Week honorees for the week ending January 11, 2026, and Salve Regina University senior forward Jack Margoupis has been selected as the Offensive Player of the Week for men's basketball.
Junior Jack Margoupis (Sutton, Mass.) led the Seahawks to a pair of NEWMAC wins. On the road at Emerson, he scored 11 of the Seahawks' 13 points in overtime and finished with a game-high 30 in the three-point victory. At home, he again led all players in scoring (20 points) as Salve Regina defeated Clark for the first time ever, 70-55, to go 1-11 all-time in the series. Margoupis shot over 50 percent from the floor (16-of-31) and made 14-of-18 free throws to average 25.0 points per game. He also added three assists.

Salve Regina (10-2, 3-0 NEWMAC) hosts WPI on Tuesday, January 13, 2026, with a 7 p.m. tip-off on FloCollege.
