The Vietor Trophy delivered two days of excellent early-spring sailing on Connecticut College's home water on the Thames River. Saturday opened with a classic northerly in the 8–15 knot range, becoming increasingly oscillatory and puffy through the afternoon as directions shifted between NW, NNW, and N — with the variable pressure producing a high volume of downwind capsizes across the fleet. Sunday was the cleaner day: a light southwesterly in the 5–8 knot range built steadily to 10–15 by early afternoon under sunny skies, rewarding patient sailing and allowing for tighter, more efficient racing throughout. The Seahawks we're up & down finishing 12
th against a deep interconference field at the Vietor Trophy against teams from all across the country ranging from Michigan, Florida, New York. — Vietor Trophy Results:Â

Tyler Winowiecki ('27),
Tori Sikorjak ('27),
Bridget Theisen ('29) &
Mikaela Williams ('27)
Salve Regina's Saturday Invite delivered a beautiful, cold, and dynamic day of sailing in Narragansett Bay. Racing opened in a brisk 12–19 knot northerly with slack tide, but conditions evolved significantly as the day progressed. The tide began flooding during the first B set, and the breeze steadily shifted right, eventually settling in the northeast at 10–13 knots — the opposite of what the forecast had predicted. The NE held through race 3B before fading to 7–10 knots with occasional holes dropping to 2–3 knots, and by race 4B the fleet was navigating 4–7 knots with significant light patches at the bottom of the course. A hard shift to the NW late in 4B prompted a course reset, landing the windward mark directly in the lee of Fort Adams. The final A set proved the most demanding of the day, featuring consistent 40–50 degree oscillations and a wind range of 4–15 knots throughout. Thank you to
Olivia Lowthian ('25) for volunteering to help run Race Committee all day. The Seahawks finished 10
th overall against a competitive New England field. —Saturday Salve Invite Results:Â

The Sunday Salve Invite afternoon forecast arrived early and delivered a full day of big breeze in Brenton Cove. Wind came from the WSW, clocking SSW after the first race. At 13-19kts, oscillating shifts were accompanied by significant geographic lifts on both sides of the course. Thank you again to our Alumnae, Charlotte Martinez ('22), and
Olivia Lowthian ('24) for braving the chilly, blustery conditions and running races. The Seahawks finished 6
th overall. —Sunday Salve Invite Results:Â
